Image from a short video Kingamer1 posted showing the \"controller\"įor some reason activates the outer layer of the skin. Ran outta videos to look at on youtube to find the info and figured I'd ask here.Įdit: Thanks to u/Kingamer1 for messing with every visible, and barely visible "controller" on the rig to find out that for some reason, this specific one. TLDR: Can't figure out how to turn on the outer skin layer in a rig. I'm just hoping to use the visual from the skin to make it easier to get some animating done as well as to make it easier to extrude out at a later time if I decide to do so.

So any suggestions or info someone has on how I can enable the outer layer of the skin? I have seen some videos on how to extrude into an outer layer to make the skin more 3D. And I'm pretty much completely new to using premade rigs so I'm not sure what to do at this point. I've also tried re-appending it multiple times to see if I something was wrong with how I appended it to the file since I haven't done that with any files before. I'm assuming it doesn't have any relation to an outer layer for the skin though. The only thing I found was some custom property that showed a few times called ant_landscape. I also did what I could to look through all the tabs and see if the option was anywhere else. I attempted looking at the shader nodes to see if there was anything about a 1.8+ option and found nothing. Unfortunately my UV Maps tab looks like this: There should be a setting in the Object Data Properties under UV Maps when I select one of the meshes there should be a 1.8+ option. Unfortunately though according to every video I could find, which were all outdated or didn't cover it. So anyway I'm trying to get the Rymdinisse rig to work with a 1.8+ skin, since my character has an outer coat and a few portions of hair on the outer layer. Specifically Rymdinisse's (the one from Boxscape Studios now) after going through the one from the MCPrep plugin and deciding the eyes were a bit too creepy for me.
