Not that the ai does that, leading to a quick death.Īlso, skarsnik beats the other orc by a mile.

Their default stance gives none, while hidden encampments give pitiful amounts forcing them to stop raiding for many turns to heal.

Replenishment is what gives the ai so much trouble with them.

Its really going to come down to player bias and playstyle to decide which are strongest/weakest, that said, Dwarves, Wood Elves and Dark Elves, with most of their assorted sub-factions, are easily top tier, while Skarsnik and Angrund are probably at the bottom of the pack, objectively speaking. Beastmen do need recruit time reductions for bestigors and centigors to encourage build variety, and they need better replenishment for the same reason, but seriously, spam minotaurs and later cygors and youre basically unstoppable. They are ♥♥♥♥♥♥ and one dimensional, thats not debatable, but with easy access to mino spam followed by an upkeep drop, they are stupidly strong. Originally posted by Wyvern:Im gonna diverge from the people bashing beastmen and say beastmen are not weak. If its your first time playing though, I would stay away from skaven and TK, as they play incredibly different from any other faction Same for Orks, you can raid/sack the entire empire with one army and never need for gold. For instance I just listed the two factions that I have an easier time with because they play very straight forward, but you could also pick dark elves and send a raiding army out to sack ulthuan/bretonnia for money/slaves while another army protects the homefront. The thing about TWW2 is that the factions all play very differently. A lot of people dislike bretonnia because their starting units (their infantry) are garbage, but you can get marienburg in 2-3 turns which gives you a ton of money, and by turn 40 you can field an army of knights. Once you survive the first wave of greenskin attacks, you can safely expand, focus on eco and getting trade up, so send someone to meet the other civs that you get diplo bonus's with (southern realms, bretonnia, empire, etc.) Always play defensively with dwarves though, or you'll get a grudgestorm that will be the end of you.Īfter that for me would be bretonnia, (the two subfactions of bretonnia are far harder) They dont get upkeep problems for multiple armies, and their cav is amazing, plus you don't fight other bretonnian factions. IDK, I play without mods but it depends on your playstyle.įor me, it would be Dwarves as they have a strong eco, safe start and strong infantry/missile units and artillery.
